AUSTIN - Showing the strength of grassroots support across the nation, Governor George W. Bush today announced that his campaign is organized with 3,296 people serving as state leaders in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, and American Samoa. All 55 states, territories and commonwealths will have delegations at the Republican National Convention.

"I am grateful to the thousands of people across America who are volunteering time and energy to help spread my message of improving schools, cutting taxes, strengthening our national defense and ushering in the responsibility era," said Gov. Bush. "A strong grassroots organization is an important part of a successful campaign."

These leadership organizations include community leaders, Republican activists, and elected officials in each state and are growing everyday.

Gov. Bush is believed to be the first presidential candidate ever to be organized in all fifty states this early in the campaign. The first leadership organization was announced in New Hampshire in April and the final announcement came today in Louisiana.
