Bush Has Proven Record on Reform; Gore Can't Decide How to Attack

Austin, TX - Al Gore today attacked Governor Bush for spending
too much money in Texas, while for weeks he and his surrogates
attacked Governor Bush for not spending enough money on important
issues like health insurance.  This is despite the fact Texas
dedicates an estimated $4.7 billion a year for the uninsured and
enacted legislation providing health insurance for more than
420,000 children in Texas.

Says the Greatest Generation Deserves the Greatest Respect

Augusta, GA - Urging all Americans to be "deserving heirs of the
Greatest Generation," Texas Governor George W. Bush today
celebrated the 56th anniversary of the D-Day landing by
promoting his plans for saving and strengthening Social Security,
completing the World War II memorial, providing veterans with a
quality health care and disability claims process, and building
a new defense strategy for the future.  Governor Bush spoke
during a memorial ceremony at the Hero's Overlook monument in
Augusta, Georgia.
